Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Software Tester. This position will be highly demanding and highly rewarding for the right candidate. The role is based in Alexandria so only Alexandria residents should apply. The main duties will be related to the following:
- Apply Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles for the analysis, preparation and execution of tests
- Write automation scripts for performance and functional/regression/stress testing
- Write SQL queries to maintain/verify testing activities
- Perform Web services/xml services testing
- Analyse and document of test results
- Perform Usability & User Acceptance Testing and Work with Product Owner to ensure requirements met
- Perform testing of security roles/permissions
- Interact between team members, Project Managers, Developers, Business Analysts, and contractors and maintain effective working relationships.
Job Requirements
The right candidate must have the following combination of education & experience:
- Must have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar
- Must be organized, detail-oriented and be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in developing test plans and strategies
- Experience in developing and executing data driven test automation scripts
- Experience in developing test scripts, scenarios and use cases
- Experience in functional and non-functional testing
- Strong understanding of the methods, processes and procedures relating to system, performance and load testing
- Experience with complex/large environments
- Experience in designing, conducting and evaluating performance testing of REST/SOAP web services and web applications
- Experience in writing SQL queries to maintain/verify testing activities
- Experience in TFS as an end to end lifecycle management platform
