Job Description
A PHP or Ruby on rails developer is required to write code to a high standard, the candidate has to improve the code-base of our products in meaningful ways. The candidate is a member in a team that is responsible for all aspects of the ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.
Main Duties:
- Produce detailed specifications
- Write “clean”, well designed code
- Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
- Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle
- Follow industry best practices
- Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary
Job Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Proven software development experience in PHP or Ruby on rails
- Good experience with Frameworks and MVC
- Good experience with security issues
- Able to learn and work with new technologies such as “AngularJS , NodeJs …. etc”
- Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, Sass CSS, Javascript, AJAX etc
- Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools and of developing web services
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc) • Passion for best design and coding practices and a desire to develop new bold ideas
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Experienced with Agile development (scrum)
