About the company
Our client is an Egyptian joint stock company that was established in 1995 and has been active in the field of banking technology solutions.
They offer to the banks & other financial services companies (Insurance, brokerage, micro-finance, etc.) solutions in the field of enveloping & printing, ATM as well as POS.
They are planning to extend their services to other sectors beside the financial sector such as the retail & industrial sector. The Company is looking to hire an energetic staff that would support & help in the expansion plan and act as product owners.

Report to: General Manager

Job Duties:

Research Phase

  • Determine customers' needs and requirement through market research.
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Assess market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Identify the potential new products by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses.
  • Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing of special and customized orders.
  • Collect & compile all needed data that would be used for the promotion of the product across different channels helping in formalizing a proper marketing campaign once the product is ready for launch.

Pilot Phase:

  • The product owner will then complete the “research phase” by ordering a sample of the product from the selected vendor to start the “pilot phase”.
  • Test and measure the new product through internal use & close support circle
  • Following this phase, and once the product is found to be suitable, will then order a small quantity of the product (if applicable) and work on finding a product/market fit. The fit will be measure against criteria that will be agreed upon between the product owner & the company GM
  • Based on findings, the candidate will then provide information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.

Commercializing Phase:

  • Once all is in place, the product owner will build and manage a sales team that we sell this product based on quotas & targets.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Extensive marketing and sales background with the ability to identify product, identify market (target segment) and arrange market fit (Buy product and sell it)
  • Good communication skills, in particular the ability to adapt one’s style for different audiences
  • Well organized and process driven.

Skills needed:

  • Product Management, People Management, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, Pricing, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Inventory Control, Financial Planning and Strategy.

Experience Needed:

  • 3-5 years

Relevant Previous experience:

  • Well established experience in sales is a must
  • Experience in the technology eco-system is important
  • Did some previous market research work is a plus
