Job Description
- Allocating tasks to staff
- Ensuring the performance of the staff is of a high standard
- Reporting to management
- Discussing and resolving problems
- Carrying out performance reviews
- Coordinate with overseas agents, Sea freight carriers and customers. Participate in planning activities related to international shipments.
- Supervise the Operations team.
- Interfere when issues arise with clients or service providers.
- Lead and participate in quality and process improvement projects.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, arrange, monitor the transportation and movement of ocean imported & exported goods.
- Communicate with applicable parties to ensure service requirements are achieved.
- Negotiate rates with approved shipping vendors.
- Provide advice in terms of delivery and payment, marine insurance, ocean services, etc.
- Evaluate the work flow and agents’ KPIs.
- Assist the management with important projects and deals.
- Hold regular meetings with different service providers and clients.
- Hold regular meetings internally with the team to discuss our KPIs.
