Job Description
- Create and execute the company’s supply chain strategy and align it with the organization’s strategy.
- Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met
- Collaborate with other departments to effectively implement supply chain strategies placed.
- Communication and negotiation for the best price with suppliers.
- Evaluate and report on KPI’s.
- Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
- Monitor logistics to ensure that they are running smoothly, controlling receival and delivery processes.
- Oversee product storage, handling, and distribution.
- Constantly looking for cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes.
- Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process, and analyzing performance
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials
- Maintains the required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
- Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to the consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Negotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff
- Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
