Job Description

Sales Director is a team leader charged with the task of managing a group of Sales Managers to be as effective as possible.

He/She is a high-level executive who’s crafting sales plans and justifying it to the CEO, and supervising sales managers to ensure that they are leading and mentoring their teams successfully.

The major duty of the Sales Director is to “Maximizes Harvest profit” by:

  • Determining annual gross-profit and sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for different regions and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Implementing sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
  • Seeking out major clients and regions and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in the training industry.
  • Recommending selling prices adjustments by monitoring costs and competition.
  • Completing sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge “of Market and Product” by attending educational workshops, establishing personal networks and participating in professional events.
  • Serving as a business representative at major training and educational events, conferences and initiatives.
  • Completes Sales department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains Sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains Sales staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Develops Sales staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
  • Maintaining a sales team spirit by motivating employees and establishing rewards programs.
  • Contributing to team effort by getting involved in the recruitment and selection process and training employees to best accomplish targeted results as needed.

Job Requirements

Skills and Requirements

  • A master’s degree in sales/business management at least from a reputable university.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must with remarkable business writing skills.
  • A proven track record of success throughout the years of experience the candidate has from previous employers.
  • Candidate must possess professional and accredited certifications in Strategic Sales, Account Management, or Sales Management.
  • As the role involves a high degree of trend analysis, market monitoring, and result tracking, candidate must be a number-oriented individual with strong math skills and well-developed business senses.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, since he/she will be a manager of large teams and must be able to identify and acquire the best talent possible.
  • High ability to maintain close and trusting relationships with those under his/her charge and facilitate open communication between sales team employees.
