Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for SharePoint related solutions
- Build, design, develop, manage and maintain interfaces, components and solutions based on SharePoint environment and .Net Framework in general ensuring proper documentation is maintained
- Perform performance monitoring on the developed components of SharePoint
- Provide support to SharePoint based implementation projects by setting up development and testing environments in coordination with the PMO, Business Analyst, Designers, Senior Consultants, and business to ensure seamless delivery of projects
- Execute testing scenarios on implemented solutions.
- Identify problems and suggest solutions and escalate to vendors if needed.
- Plan and coordinate implementation of changes, upgrades, patches and new versions, through proper change control processes.
- Develop and maintain required interfaces between various systems.
- Organize and administer training assistance when needed for IT staff as well as end users.
- Adhere to best practices and standards like ITIL and SDLC.
Job Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8+ Years of expert level MS SharePoint development Experience
- 8+ Years of experience with development tools (e.g. WSS, MOSS 2007, and SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013, Visual Studio).
- Extensive knowledge with hands-on experience in specified programming languages (e.g. Oracle, SQL, C#, .Net, SOAP, REST, CSS, HTML5), and information capture techniques.
Solid experience in SharePoint development especially in the following areas:
- SharePoint 2007 Development
- SharePoint 2010 Development
- SharePoint 2013 Development
- MS SQL Development
- SharePoint Timer Job
- SharePoint Event Handler
- SharePoint Web Services
- InfoPath
- SharePoint Workflow
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture and SQL Server.
- Expertise in SSRS.
- Familiarity with SharePoint administrative tools like ShareGate, Metalogix, and DocAve.
- Strong understanding of databases, system backup, high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
- Delivering at least 3 -5 Enterprise-level Projects.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution experience and skills.
- Ability to operate under pressure, successfully handle multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to learn and quickly familiarize with complex business and systems environments.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in teams.
- Excellent communications, presentation and customer facing skills.
- Fluency in English, written and oral. Arabic is added advantage.
