- Advanced Development Division at Sypron Solutions is seeking a talented software engineer to design and build applications and services related to big data analytics.
- Successful candidates will work as part of a team on designing, implementing, and verifying big data analytics engine for a number of potential domains such as precision agriculture, customer relationship management, supply chain management and smart factories to name just a few.
- As a Big Data Engineer you will utilize programming tools such as Spark and other Hadoop ecosystem tools (e.g. Hive, Pig, Sqoop, flume, MapReduce,) to bring together a diverse and massive set of data sources and making them easily accessible and useful for further analysis. You should be highly self-motivated with a strong problem-solving and analytical nature, love of learning, passion for insight, and desire for achieving results.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, tune, and scale Big Data platforms
- Extract data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources
- Develop robust and presentable big data visualizations
- Develop non-graphics/GPGPU big data analytics code in a GPU programming language
- Explore applied research ideas and emerging technologies and formulate and execute R&D projects in big data analytics.
- Develop and document intellectual property.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithm development
- Strong Python, Java, C/C++ and/or GPU languages coding skills
- Experience with Big Data and Machine Learning frameworks and ecosystems tools, such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, TensorFlow.
- Strong knowledge of memory, threads/process, and networking on Linux
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and technical writing skills
- Functional experience in precision agriculture/CRM/supply chain management is plus.
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor Degree
- Preferred: Master’s Degree/Professional Degree
- Major/Discipline: Computer Science/Math/Statistics. Exceptional candidates from other disciplines will be considered.
Relevant Work Experience
- Minimum: 1+ year of Big Data development.
- Preferred: 3+ years of Big Data development.
