Job Description

Job Summary:

Project Managers are responsible for the planning, management, coordination and financial control of construction projects.

He will have some involvement in design delivery as well as mentoring staff and handling design reviews in this area. Along with this will be the opportunity to develop business and have a greater scope around client and external interface.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Control the time, cost and quality of construction projects, such as residential, commercial and buildings.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
  • Determine the scheduling of different phases of a project based on established deadlines & receive notification of the start date of work on the project and receive a copy of the business, conditions and essays, specifications and drawings, implementation programs and contracts for subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare & negotiate contracts & revisions, changes with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Secure the delivery of materials and equipment to construction sites.
  • Discuss with supervisors or other managers to monitor construction project progress, including workers’ productivity and compliance with building and safety codes. Offer direct manager the periodic reports on the progress of work and size carried out and the remaining work and dates of delivery business.
  • Identify training needs for direct subordinate and suggests appropriate programs for them.
  • Hold regular meetings with team members to enhance communication and ensure the sharing of the same objectives.
  • Propose improvement, therapeutic, and preventive measures that will improve company department’s performance.
  • Participate in the development of safety and health professional for the project plans and pursues its execution.
  • Ensure that a project is completed according to schedule, managers must resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies or other issues that may cause delays.

Job Requirements

  • (15 - 20 years) of experience in construction/civil engineering field with minimum 8 years’ experience in project management on unit/s delivery.
  • B.Sc. degree level qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Master's degree in a construction-related field is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail around contract management and successful project outcomes.
