Job Description
Responsibilities
- Execute and manage the production program according to clients\' needs, and in coordination with the Logistics Manager
- Plan and manage production staff activity. Develop and coordinate employee training and evaluation – pinpointing critical issues, needs and potential of workers
- Measure and verify production resource consumption rates (materials, people, services) with the aim of continued improvement and optimization
- Plan the technical interventions (e.g. mould changes, color changes) and maintenance of machinery, equipment and utilities
- Guarantee production line efficiency and product quality, keeping stable all fixed process parameters
- Guarantee and verify compliance to all workplace health, safety and environmental norms, applying ‘best practices’ to ensure that work areas are kept clean, orderly and secure
- Manage the correct maintenance of machinery, equipment, utilities and factory premises
- Plan, coordinate and guide technical activities for optimizing facilities and processes
- Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and technologists, managing intervention priorities and supporting the professional development of technical employees, including proposing relevant training opportunities
- Maintain document archives (technical documents, manuals and dossiers on retrofits or other interventions) regarding machinery, equipment or utilities
- Verify that machinery, equipment and utilities conform to all applicable material and safety norms
- Guarantee support and cooperation in optimizing production processes, industrialization (including the installation of new lines) or the standardization of practices. Contribute towards eliminating workplace health and safety risks
- Coordinate the activity of new materials, products and technologies
Job Requirements
Specific knowledge and competencies
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English
- Computer skills: Windows applications, knowledge of data management systems (preferably SAP)
- Thorough and tacit knowledge of the technologies and productive processes of the production site
- Knowledge of staff management and “best practices”( i.e. OEE, TPM, 6S ) frameworks
- Knowledge of the applicable norms regarding industry health, safety and environment. Knowledge of the general principles of HACCP is an advantage
Specific knowledge and competencies
- Computer skills: Windows applications, knowledge of project management software. Basic knowledge of CAD 2D/3D
- Good knowledge of the electrical/electronic, mechanic and hydraulic fields
- Good knowledge of plant-specific technologies
- Basic knowledge of “best practices” (TPM, 6S, OEE) is desirable
