Essential Job Duties:
- The Web Copywriter produces clear, concise and engaging content for Annabi Project digital
- Marketing initiatives including the main website, email campaigns, blog posts, social media and digital ads.
- This individual is equally skilled at creating understandable content to everyday people and engaging readers with compelling stories
- This individual knows that writing is only worth reading if it is enriching, useful and meaningful to the intended audience
- The Web Copywriter excels at delivering sharp headlines and strong copy that people really want to read.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with subject matter experts to develop strong, clear and concise writing that appeals to the intended audience
- Collaborate with designers to develop effective content across digital channels and formats
- Develop concepts and content for a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to socialmedia, email, display advertising, webpage copy and video scripts
- Collaborate with wider marketing team and stakeholders throughout the organization to conceptualize, develop and/or revise content that meets expressed strategic goals
- Keep up with best practices in digital user experience and content marketing, sharing relevant ideas with the team and implementing where appropriate.
- Ensure writing is consistent in quality, tone, and style
Job Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Journalism, Marketing, Advertising,Mass Communication or related field of study is required.
- 2-5 years of copy-writing experience, preferably with on-line retail or editorial.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite a plus (Photoshop, In-design).
- Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills are a must.
- Strong ability to write SEO-optimized content.
- Excellent communication skills-- written and verbal.
- Must be a self-starter with exceptional organizational and time management skills; must be able to manage several projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to jump right in and take initiative, but also ask for direction when needed.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and able to perform in a team-oriented environment.
