Fundraising Officer

Job Objective:

• He/she will be responsible for the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of grants from major donors and prospects in the development world.
• He/She will serve as a representative of Misr El Kheir to vital internal and external stakeholders aiming at building long-term relationships with donors and prospects.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the Sole Point of Contact between the foundation and the donor agencies.
• Develop and implement individual cultivation and solicitation strategies/write-ups for each major donor as per donor guidelines and RFP involved.
• Participate in all aspects of the major grant cycle: research and identify prospects; cultivate through personal communication, mailings and visits; solicit, acknowledge and close donations; and foster continuing relationships.
• Work collaboratively with management and staff of marketing, programs, and investment to cultivate and solicit major gift prospects.
• Write or assist in the development of proposals, newsletters, brochures, pamphlets and other materials as necessary for use in soliciting grants prospects.
• Serve as a knowledgeable and professional representative of the foundation to important internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and execute strategies to utilize MEK programs staff in relationship-building with donors.
