Job Description
Duties:
- Responsible for health & safety related activities in the project.
- Ensure that all site safety activities are managed and controlled as directed by the Project Manager and Client’s requirements.
- Ensure that all subcontractors are aware of the site health & safety requirements.
- Establish and maintain site health & safety records of the project.
- Manages and coordinates all safety training programs and requirements.
- Ensure that latest update of the HSE Policy is prominently displayed in the project
- (translated Where necessary).
- Ensure awareness of all employees (management included) on their operational HSE responsibilities, and on their legal HSE responsibilities according to the local requirements.
- Support the local management (at all levels) to fulfill their functional and legal HSE responsibilities.
- Prepare update and review local office specific HSE plan.
- Review and comment on documentation or process updates.
- Implement changes to processes or documentation and ensure relevant persons are made aware.
- Ensure compliance with and survey of the legal requirements for the project.
- Ensure that HSE topics are included in internal audits.
- Support the audits carried out by external organization / agencies for certification /compliance with local requirement.
Job Requirements
Skills/Qualifications:
- Working knowledge and experience in managing, planning and directing Safety
- 5-7 Years of experiences in substations or power plant projects " MUST"
- Department functions in construction and operating plant environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferably in the Construction practice.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a role of Safety Officer/Engineer in a leading.
- Minimum Two years of experience in the field of construction works on site.
- Well-developed skills in oral and written communication related to construction field.
He must have:
- Thorough knowledge of construction management tools, and contractual practices; inspection and safety standards.
- Fair Knowledge in HSSE Health Safety, Security and Environmental techniques and practices.
- Significant knowledge of supervisory principles and practices and sound judgment and
Leadership skills.
- Proficiency in construction work practices, Knowledge of legal policies and procedures with respect to safety and health issues.
