Job Description
- Back up purchasing clerk to include ordering of supplies/goods, equipment and material, reviewing, and processing/issuing of the purchase order
- Identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Continually improve purchasing methods/processes
- Review and monitor capital purchases to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Purchasing raw materials, production requirements, Products and packaging from the local market and following up their supply schedule with the supplier and any other requirements required by the work necessity that are purchased from the local market.
- Handling the day-to-day activities of the Procurement department.
- Contact local suppliers and request samples for inspection prior to delivery if required
- Requests for prices from more than one supplier to choose the best quality and price and present it to choose and approve the best for the purchase.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Communicate with the finance department in order to secure payments
