IoT Hardware/Firmware Test Engineer
About the Role:
- Primarily to lead the test engineering / QA effort to develop test plans for IoT system designs to include hardware, firmware, and IoT platform integration to verify correct and reliable product performance
- Document test plans, execute unit tests and regressions tests, and document results based on both functional and technical requirements
- Liaison with the hardware and firmware design teams to develop effective test strategies and plans to ensure the fastest time to market without compromising the overall design goals and future flexibility
- Liaison with the software platform team to ensure a high level of integration testing is completed for new feature releases
- Liaison with the production team and RMA technicians to assist with QA and root cause analysis
- Liaison with product management to collect requirements and discuss test plans and results to influence product and quality improvements
- Liaison with the customer service team to provide a full suite of product documentation and training prior to product release
About You:
Experience and Work Achievements
The candidate should have a proven track record of designing and/or testing microprocessor-based communications systems, as well as both analogue and digital signal interfacing within an industrial environment.
Within this field they should additionally have a detailed knowledge relating to the following:
- The use of test equipment and simulation tools for design verification and validation
- The understanding of Experience with common communications services, GSM/Satellite/Wireless, highly desired
- Experience with electromagnetic compatibility requirements as well as other applicable certifications such as CE, FCC, RED and PTCRB a plus
- Experience with end-to-end IoT solutions a plus

The candidate should have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Systems with 5 - 7 years’ experience in hardware and software integration testing
