Job Description
- Manage day to day research team activities in order to improve current products performance and maximize current products profitability.
- Actively search for best-in-class technologies among competitors and develop innovation roadmap in order to increase company competitiveness.
- Cooperate closely with product managers to ensure customer focus and target costing; thereby, co-developing product development goals.
- Cooperate with product managers to ensure brand-consistent design of product ranges.
- Lead R&D team to launch product prototypes in order to assist in idea evaluation before formalization.
- Lead R&D team to generate new products, components, equipment, systems and processes in order to meet product development goals.
- Estimate the costs, resources and time required to implement the organization's annual R&D goals in order to assist in evaluating the potential benefit of new and modified product launches.
- Monitor the performance of the research projects to ensure R&D goals are met in line with the product management strategy.
- Effectively communicate new know-how and technology to other related departments to ensure the smooth sailing of new launches.
- Ensure all R&D activities are aligned with relevant local & international regulations and standards to ensure customer satisfaction and safeguard company reputation.
- Develop team members by ensuring their correct application of tools and policies and assisting in providing them with training, career path guidance and performance evaluations.
- Prepare all relevant reports, supervise all required documentation and attend all required meetings.
Job Requirements
- BA in Science- Chemistry or Physical Chemistry
- 5-7 years of R&D experience in the cosmetics or personal care field
