Job Description
- Research foreign markets especially the African market to generate export leads.
- Open channels of communication with leads and present company’s products clearly and engagingly to gain potential clients’ interests.
- Negotiate and seal deals with interested clients in order to expand company global market share.
- Coordinate shipping, loading/unloading and trucking with shipping lines & forwarders to facilitate the export process.
- Consult with custom agents & handle all relevant bank procedures (LCs/LGs/Transferable LCs) to facilitate the export process.
- Document shipments to ensure that they are in compliance with customs rules and regulations.
- Maintain all relevant databases to generate all required reports.
- Maintain an updated understanding of customs requirements, rules, bans & regulations to stay on top of the process.
- Assist with searching and evaluating international suppliers, obtaining financial & technical quotations and making purchasing agreements based on ‘best deal’ to improve the cost and quality of purchases.
- Assist with checking shipments to ensure compliance with purchase orders and all necessary tests & audits.
Job Requirements
- BA in any related discipline
- 1-2 years of export development experience
- MS Office Skills
- Proficiency in Arabic & English
- Proficiency in any other foreign language is an asset
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Time management, meeting deadlines and the ability to handle several projects simultaneously
- Advanced follow-up skills
- Team work
