Job Description
Job Purpose:
Provide management oversight for all phases of the construction project. Explain plans execution and contract terms to project team, subcontractor, and conduct to facilitate meetings with clients representative, consultant; this include submission of progress reports to superior forecast any deviation in project budget, monitor project schedule plans and critical; manage to forecast change/variation orders and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within the required quality standards.
Scope:
Key Accountabilities:
- Develops a cost-effective plan and schedule for completion of project following a logical pattern for utilization of resources
- Oversees performance of all sub-contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed
- Ensure main contract and building specification are implemented and executed to meet highest standard of quality
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
- Responsible for achieving monthly work control parameters especially in terms of budget, work volume, time, quality, etc.
Critical Duties:
- Management of the project goal according to the agreed parameters
- Identify and solve the problems which might influence project results
- Work with the planning department to update project schedules, and follow the schedules and charts for the project activities
- Work together with the team to develop a management plan for the project quality
Routine Duties:
- Manage project budget, resource allocation, and efficient and economic use of company assets
- Determine necessary manpower and resources required for each project; coordinates with the concerned department on requirements
- Ensures subordinates and staff have the necessary skills and expertise required for the tasks and assigns individual responsibilities. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
- Prepare weekly and monthly status reports, and close-out notices
- Ensures timely and accurate preparation of all engineering documentation and specifications required for the successful implementation of the project that also includes all required permits and licenses
- Establishes and maintains project communications with the consultant, owner representative and project stakeholder.
- Responsible for initiating all progress and final invoicing
- Conducts performance evaluation of staff assigned to project(s)
- Select, coordinate, and oversee performance of all third-party contractors working on various phases of the project
- Performs duties that may be assigned by superior from time to time
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with relevant Major/ Grad
- 15-20 years of relevant experience, 3 of which in project management
- PMP Certified or equivalent is a plus
- FEDIC & LEED experience is an asset
Skills/Knowledge:
- Arabic: Fluent
- English: good
- Ability to use the main MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook), Primavera
- Knowledge of ERP project management software
- Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, and time management
Physical Effort & Environment:
- May work under heat, cold, noise, and dust
- Frequent physical movement required
