Job Description
In this job you will be required to (including but not limited to):
- Perform instrumental analysis using IC, X-Ray Florescence, Dilatometer & PSD and minor analytical equipment to the raw materials, in-process & finished products in a timely manner
- Conduct weekly control for VC slip & FFC slip, also thermal shock for loss pieces
- Be responsible for sending monthly samples of final product & slip samples to our sister company in Europe
- Perform internal calibration of the instruments according to work instructions
- Produce reports as necessary and on a regular basis
- Conduct root cause analysis of loss pieces on a daily basis
- Test all new raw materials coming to the lab
- Maintain the assigned spaces in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
Job Requirements
In order to perform this job you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
- Proven experience with testing and working with raw materials in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience handling different testing machines, tools and tests in different kinds of materials.
- Preferable previous experience in dealing with industries involving (ceramics, cement, etc..)
- Ability to work in shift basis, under stress and meet deadlines.
- Computer skills – Advanced user of MS Excel & Word.
- Good Communication Skills.
- Attention to details, quality oriented and can solve problems and work under stressful conditions.
