Job Description

Primary objectives and scope of work:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of events’ sales
  • Meet financial objectives
  • Define Business Development tasks and resource requirements
  • Develop full scale Business Development plans
  • Liaison between the clients and the company to ensure the client’s needs and goals are met
  • Events evaluations and assessment of results
  • The Business Development Manager manages the pitch to the client and the client’s budget
  • Prepares for quality assurance procedures
  • Ensures events documents are complete, current, and relevant and stored appropriately

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Planning & following up for all sales activities with existing and new pharmaceutical companies, medical societies & universities
  • Achieving allocated sales target
  • Business development activities (with new societies, universities, pharmaceutical companies, venues, cities, hotels, restaurants…etc)
  • Inspection activities for all new vendors
  • Communication with KOLs & speakers in the medical societies and universities
  • Foreign speakers’ communication and handling
  • Scientific programs, invitations, announcements, newsletters preparation for all events
  • Medical writing, editing and program creation for all events
  • Communication and following up with the advertising agencies and in-house designers
  • Planning & execution of all promotional emails and SMS campaigns for all events
  • Leading, organizing and executing events and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Cross functional communication with all department to follow up the progress of all related issues for all events
  • Following up and execution for all scientific and operational issues of events

Job Requirements

  • 7-10 years experience in the pharmaceutical market
  • 2-5 years managerial experience
  • Medical or Pharmaceutical Background
  • The Business Development Manager must have the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in English and Arabic
