Job Description
- Comply with Project Specifications, Commissioning Plans and Procedures.
- Preparation of switching schedules and work instructions.
- Carry out mentoring & training of others
- Preparation of Commissioning Plans, Procedures, and Method Statements.
- Complete Reports & Test Dossiers to meet the Contract Specific requirements for each Project.
- Direct and support other Commissioning Engineers/Assistant Commissioning Engineers, as required, to perform their duties, taking a lead role on certain areas as directed by the Commissioning Manager/Project Manager.
- Assisting Commissioning Engineers with the testing of complex schemes and modern microprocessor based relays and to provision of the master software files associated with these devices.
- Assisting the Design Engineers with the design of the microprocessor based relays software logic and settings, preparing specific factory and site test processes to prove the design.
- Assess suitability of plant as complete and ready for test from the Construction staff.
- Undertake testing to ensure installation is in accordance with the design.
- Execute of Commissioning and Testing across interfaces.
- Maintain associated documentation.
- Identify any specialist test equipment and tools.
- Review and develop subcontractor commissioning procedures to meet the contract specific requirements for each project.
- Witness commissioning by subcontractor and specialist engineers.
- Attend and witness equipment works tests when required.
- Assist with the preparation/review of works test plans and procedures.
- Co-ordinate with substation Project Engineers and provide advice on commissioning activities.
Job Requirements
- At least 5-7 years of experience
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Power & Machine Engineering
- MUST Experience in High Voltage and Power plant or substations projects
