Plan both long and short range activity in accordance to curriculum objective.
Meet the emotional , social , physical and cognitive needs of each child.
Encourage teachers to contribute to curriculum planning.
Prepare children for kindergarten stage.
Work with children in groups or one to one based on the needs of the child.
Coordinate with the principle field trips and events.
Prepare monthly plan chart.
Complete monthly report about each child , with regard to his/her assessment and progress.
Maintain communication with parents.
Watch for changes or signs of emotional or developmental problems in the children and bring problems to the attention of nursery administration and parents.
Attend to the child’s basic needs by feeding them , dressing them and grooming them.
Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition ,personal hygiene and social skills.
Read stories , sing songs and play along with kids in a nurturing environment.
Keep accident reports.
Maintain healthy and safe environment by inspecting and replacing damaged or lost material.
Attend staff meetings.
Supervise teachers and matrons in the classroom.
