DirectFN ( Mubasher) is looking for a Senior News Editor with excellent writing skills within the business and finance domain.
You will oversee the entire news content of our flagship product, Decypha in coordination with Mubasher and DJ news teams and our content team. Your role notably includes supervising our news aggregation team posting relevant news, press releases, multimedia and events always ensuring their accuracy, efficiency and relevance.
You will also supervise the various news streams across Decypha intelligence platform, ensuring all home pages and news sections are regularly updated and news properly tagged to relevant financial instruments or companies.
You will also be involved in contributing unique content provided by DirectFN/Mubasher and will have significant input into turning information into intelligence through an insightful and creative approach to journalism

University/college degree or equivalent is well regarded, ideally in journalism
At least 5 years’ experience in either news-wires, newspaper or online media, and in-depth knowledge of Middle East business environment preferred
Proven news judgment and analytical abilities thorough understanding of business issues of the region and ability to write complex stories on financial issues such as stock markets, IPOs, funds, bonds etc.
Ability to prioritize concurrent projects and adhere to challenging deadlines
Familiarity with web-based publishing platforms and multimedia preferred, including social medias
Ability to analyze and anticipate interests of targeted audience
Arabic knowledge is required but secondary to a flawless command of written English
Team player and proven leadership skills
