Job Description
The inventory control manager is responsible for managing the factory warehouses and its inventory. His job is leading a team of warehouse and purchasing workers in ordering and receiving new stocks as well as issuing inventory.
- Manage a team of warehouse keepers.
- Ensure warehouse receiving/issuing procedures are applied appropriately.
- Carry out inventory control to ensure inventories are at optimal levels.
- Ensure proper management of aging and excess stocks.
- Manage the implementation of purchase orders.
- Seek reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiation prices and close deals with optimal terms.
- Involvement in supply chain development and cost reduction.
- Respond to complaints or inquiries concerning products and inventories.
- Provide assistance and direction to colleagues and subordinates when necessary
Job Requirements
- BS degree (Industrial Engineering, logistics, or Business administration)
- Experience in the field of supply chain.
- Understanding of ERP concepts.
- A knack for negotiation and networking.
- Communication and leadership skills.
