Job Description

Position Summary :

The Branch Manager is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of the branch office, including operations, sales, customer service, and trading in accordance with the company's objectives. Develops new portfolios and trading business, provides a superior level of customer service and promotes the service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation.

Oversee the branch trading and sales functions, and customer service duties. Also must be familiar with Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority laws. Although not primarily responsible for customer transactions and account opening administration, the Branch Manager will be available to assist Account manager(s) as necessary.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Supervise the day to day operational functions of the branch including: trading, sales, customer services, margin and accounting.
  • Approve bank transfer within authority limits.
  • Be knowledgeable about branch cash flow.
  • Collaborate in the hiring, training and retention of staff.
  • Facilitate daily employee meetings to discuss market news and trading tactics.
  • Prepare account managers & customer services performance appraisals and disciplinary notices as needed.
  • Responsible for growing customer base and business relationships and maintain good public relations with customers.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.
  • Comply with all department and company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent required.
  • 7-10 years financial service or banking experience required with knowledge in brokerage, securities, credit and branch operations preferred.
  • Prior managerial experience is required. Alexandria resident preferred.
  • Be well organized and pay close attention to details.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills to effectively uncover and resolve complex customer and employee issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills, attentiveness, information retention, tact and diplomacy in dealing with both customers and employees.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills required to manage, motivate, and develop branch employees required.
  • This position requires a perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels.
  • Proven success in customer service and in the development of strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & under pressure as needed.
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and high degree of accuracy.
