Job Description
- Makes personal sales calls at customer sites on a regular basis.
- Seeks out prospective customers/business opportunities with new and existing customers.
- Establishes and maintains customer relationships in order to grow profitable sales.
- Reports competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
- Cooperates with qualified suppliers to secure mutual business through joint calls.
- Develops an effective and productive working relationship with Inside Sales.
- Impression of self and the company.
- Fulfills customer needs for product pricing, etc.
- Assists customers with problem solving, takeoffs, project layout/design and in pricing.
- Bills of material and project management.
- Implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals.
- Performs other duties as instructed or required to successfully complete the job.
- Ability to visit and move around at construction and other work sites.
- Generate sales reports each week and submitting them to management.
- Attend industry trade shows to accumulate new leads and make productive contact with existing clients.
- Update client information in the company contact database.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required.
- 2+ years’ outside sales experience.
- Must be willing to travel.
- Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
