Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities include (not all inclusive...) :

  • Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid ; as per the purchasing regulation & the company internal policy.
  • Prepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures.
  • Prepares purchase orders, bid requests, and change notices to ensure conformance.
  • Responsible for commercial study and tenders evaluations for suppliers offers to select the appropriate bidder.
  • Negotiate with suppliers, if needed, to get the most appropriate prices & conditions as to implement cost saving initiatives, products and the procurement process.
  • Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased costs, delivery, product quality, and inventories.
  • Provides these records to various departments, as needed.
  • Determines inventory levels on purchased parts to be maintained through review of purchase histories and communicates with store; maintenance and upper management.
  • Verify & supervises the suppliers invoices payment cycle.
  • Responsible for procurement of Spare Parts for equipment and Vehicles.
  • Implement & follow up the foreign requisitions of the maintenance department for spare parts & machinery supplies within the approved budgets that ensure on time delivery with the minimum costs for all items within purchasing cycle.
  • Check all correspondences with suppliers.
  • Monitor the contract preparation and order placement in the right time according purchasing cycle.
  • Handle and settle any claims for any unaccepted items.

Job Requirements

  • Alexandria resident will be an advantage.
  • Engineering degree (Preferred :Mechanical engineer) will be an advantage.
  • Min 10 year experience working in the purchasing field of at least (4 years) in a Managerial position.
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, dealing with Comsys program will be an advantage.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and suppliers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of materials used in our field, such as spare parts.
