Job Description
Vijua is a Cairo-based technology company specialized in interactive ebook technologies. Their award-winning Kotobee platform (www.kotobee.com) is used by top corporates and organizations around the world.
We are on the lookout for a back-end PHP developer to help us extend our award-winning Kotobee platform.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- PHP development within a Symfony framework
- Extend our platform with new features
- Coordinate with front-end team for supporting features in the back-end
- Follow a guideline handbook for development, and properly document all work
- Follow a work-flow for periodical platform releases
- Perform duties as needed
Job Requirements
- BS in Computer Engineering or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience in the field
- Passionate, innovative, and results-oriented
- Passionate about the latest best practice and technologies in server management
- Excellent skills in PHP development
- Intermediate knowledge of Symfony framework is a plus
- Previous experience using GIT in a team work flow
- Good knowledge of Linux commands
- Good experience with MySQL databases
- Clear, concise and structured thinker and communicator
- Ability to work under pressure
- Quick learner, and adapts to new technologies easily and quickly
