Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Sourcing, negotiating and buying of goods, materials and services to meet the Company’s operational requirements.
  • Tendering process and procurement policy and governance, and finalizing contracts & SLA.  

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsibility and accountability for the purchase of goods, materials and services to ensure that the company’s operational  
  • needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply locally & Internationally  
  • through the oracle process system.  

Responsibilities  

  • Ensure that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market.
  • Ensure purchasing policy, guidelines and any associated documents are in place and updated when required.
  • Utilize appropriate resources including Supplier Development to ensure appropriate supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products.
  • Negotiate and manage contract terms with suppliers to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Review and negotiate existing agreements to optimize commercial terms.
  • Assess tenders from potential suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers and have a process in place to measure effective performance, quality and compliance.
  • Ensure parts are sourced in full and aligned to production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Managing the facility of the building making sure that building is operating successfully

Job Requirements

Qualification & Education:  

  • Education: Bachelor Degree is required
  • Years of Experience: 2-3 Years of experience at least.  
  • Language: Good Command of English Language  
  • Computer skills: Computer literate, especially Excel skills Example roles this job description may cover
  • Good Knowledge of the oracle system.  
  • Can work on the two levels Foreign & Local Purchasing and is with a good knowledge of the cycle.  
  • Knowledge for insurance – Freight – Logistics process.  
  • NGO experience is preferable.
