Job Description
Job Purpose:
- Responsible for shipping documents (manifest and bill of lading) matching local requirements, GVA’s instructions and port of discharge rules.
- provide the customer(s) all these documents in the proper time to facilitate the smooth workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Approach clients to send final shipping instructions if they didn’t, to create manifest and B/L accordingly.
- Prepares all the needed documents including manifest and Bill of lading and according to deadline assure that all the documents meet the destination country’s requirements, TMS approvals & local requirements.
- Assures that all the related documents are complete and accurate for each export destination.
- Ensures that all export correspondence/papers are documented correctly, as well as ensure obtaining from clients all necessary export documentation needed by each country of destination.
- Checking inserted freight charges to ensure its matching TMS program approvals.
- Handles all the amendments requested by shippers, consignees, customs and agents.
- Coordinates with other departments, performs full detailed follow up tasks, as well as handle the necessary communication whenever needed.
- Provides complete and accurate reports to the Documentation Manager as needed.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
