Job Description
- Identifying and developing new and/or potential customers.
- Ensuring that he/she uses the proper updated marketing material including price lists & other commitments (e.g., time of delivery).
- Translating the needs of the customer in the relevant offerings based on ABB’s product, system, and service portfolio.
- Understanding the underlying needs of the customer and identifies new business possibilities.
- Tracking the negotiations with the customer and moving the business to the agreed-upon margins, as well as ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- Participating and contributing with the various risk assessments – registering the assessment data into the appropriate database.
- Charting out and monitoring sales proposals (e.g. quantity, margin, product/system), & following up on the statistics.
- Following up on proposals and leading the process negotiations till order registration in accordance with the established processes
- Fulfilling the expected number of customer visits, logging the visits, and communicating the results with the sales management team.
- Actively exploring the market for new customers within the assigned segment/region
- Understand the customer need for projects involving mainly LV and MV switchboards and other associated products/systems from the company portfolio.
- Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of the offers, including prices and trading conditions.
- Prepare sales plans & performs regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
- Manage the administrative procedures in sales processes and ensure payment collection and project management activities when needed.
- Ensures a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
Job Requirements
- As the ideal candidate, you should have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 1-3 years experience as a sales engineer
- Experience in LV or MV Switchboards is a plus.
- Good command of English & Microsoft Office.
- Key skills: Problem solver, active listener, ability to build up a sales network, ability to engage others, high communication skills, proper follow up-skill, proactive, and presentable.
- Candidate must have a car.
