Job Description
Main Duties:
- Submit/Perform the required change requests relevant to Data Center virtual and physical infrastructure
- Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, aggregators, switches, wifi controllers.
- Perform root cause analysis to resolve current problems and solve issues, often under time constraints
- Perform virtual and physical network management and administration
- Implement the necessary controls and procedures to protect Data Center network assets
- Ensure the healthy operation environment.
- Assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration best practices
- Attend customers meeting, gather requirement, and follow best practice in network design solutions.
- Expert in configuration and administration of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF,EIGRP).
- Provide network documentation, HLD and LLD.
- Perform regular monitoring to identify any possible wrong behaviors
- Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions
- Manage projects and maintenance tasks in the ticketing system
- Work closely with other teams to meet team goals and improve processes and practices
- Perform other tasks as requested by Infrastructure Section Head.
- Cover Data Centers support 24/7, on-call or physically if needed.
- Tier two and three in troubleshooting customer inquiries.
- Contact ISPs/Suppliers/Vendors for escalating/following up incidents
- Communicate scheduled maintenance with Data Center customers
- Log Customers’ equipment in the Data Center CMDB, establish the required relationships and ensure that it’s visible in the Data Center CMDB reports
- Collect the required approvals for any Change requests, Incidents and Problems
- Perform the root cause analysis to any outage and create the required RFO
- Follow/commit on RDC SLA.
- Report weekly capacity information
- The employee has to follow the ISMS policies, procedures and all other ISMS requirements”
- Log the daily time sheet relevant to the work activity and Weekly status report
