Job brief:
System Administrator maintain, upgrade and manage software, hardware and networks. Should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. Ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Job description :
- Assists with linking Web servers to database systems.
- Communicates & coordinates network schedule, backups, & downtime to users.
- Coordinates installation of H/W& S/W by others and third-party maintenance for network hardware, software, & telecommunications services.
- Develops network, news, & host security policies.
- Evaluates local area network H/W& S/W requirements & capabilities & makes recommendations.
- Installs & maintains local area network H/W& software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals, wiring & maintains various Web servers.
- Manages all upgrades, servers, backups & remote client dial-in access.
- Manages set up & maintenance of intranets related to system administration functions.
- Monitors & maintains network stability, traffic & makes necessary recommendations for additional resources or H/W.
- Performs analysis of network needs & contributes to design of network architecture, integration, & installation.
- Prepares & maintains documentation of network Config. & cabling layouts
- Provides networking assistance to users, including help with network connections & passwords, trains users in local area network administration & usage.
- Researches & implements security & firewall strategies.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
- Experience from 2 to 3 years in the same position.
- Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
- Familiarity with Fingerprints attendance machine.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
