Job Description

Main Job Duties:

  • To manage the efficient use of workshop resources and load workshop as per capacity to ensure full capacity at all time
  • To monitor individual and workshop efficiency/productivity
    to ensure key performance indicators are met
  • To plan the distribution of work among the team using the technician skills mix available
  • To provide precise Estimate of Repairs (EOR) as per Flat rate time
  • To meet Motor Surveyor to discuss the EORs
  • To convert EORs into Approved Estimate of Repairs (AEORs)
  • To liaise with Motor Surveyors and Insurance Companies for additional repairs if required
  • To input and confirm customer’s appointment in the appointment log sheet
  • To register job cards for all incoming vehicles after reception from Service Advisor
  • To dispatch the job cards with the respective foremen and Quality/Production coordinator
  • To monitor the jobs progress on floor
  • To confirm delivery date and time to Service Advisor and for any delays, if required. (To inform Insurance companies also)
  • To ensure availability of parts for all incoming works and to advise Service Advisor if parts are not available
  • To handle warranty works prior receiving approval from Head of Department
  • To maintain a safe work environment at all times.
  • To ensure works are carried out as per our Standards
  • To ensure all vehicles protection equipment are used by Technicians
  • To ensure that technicians wears their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • To conduct weekly meeting with foremen
  • Any other relevant duties as may be assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • Trade Certificate / Diploma in Body repairs and painting / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent qualification
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the field
  • Good Knowledge of Body Parts, Job Costing, Estimates of Repairs and Paint Mixing Processes
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office packages
  • Analytical and Problem solving skills
  • Good planning & organizational skills of a Bodyshop workload
  • Emphasis on Quality Repairs
  • Leadership and Time Management Skills
  • Good Communication and interpersonal skills
