Job Description
- Managing, directing and leading the day to day operations ensuring high standards of care, education, hygiene and safety are maintained.
- Developing rules and policies and coordinating between Front desk, Accounting, Hygiene and Maintenance departments.
- Maintaining accurate records, documents and filing of the curriculum and system.
- Preparing injury-accident, academic reports, medication and trip authorization forms.
- Preparing age appropriate annual, weekly and daily lesson plans and effective curriculum designed around monthly themes and developing a curriculum for the special needs children in the classroom with the help of the special needs specialist.
- Organizing activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, music, science, cooking, arts and crafts.
- Selecting, ordering and storing classroom equipment, materials, supplies, books and stories.
- Meeting with parents to discuss and resolve any problems and concerns. Reviewing development assessments for preschoolers every six months to discuss their children's behavior, progress and needs and conducting parent/teacher conferences.
- Organizing field trips and school events.
- Recruiting, supervising, training, coaching and evaluating teachers, maintaining Montessori classroom culture and coordinating staff meetings, special events and outings.
