Job Description
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of his projects, in all technical, commercial and scheduling aspects, to meet the requirements of both the end-users and the Company
Responsibilities :
- Leads the projects in close cooperation with the Lead Engineers in order to agree the course of action necessary to complete the assigned projects in a timely and successful manner within the project budget and schedule
- Responsible for monitoring the projects performance and progress
- Responsible for reporting regularly about the current status and cost of the actual projects and providing forecast and analysis
- Coordinates the communication between customers (external and internal), suppliers and project teams
- Assist the sales organization in demonstrations, presentations and project estimates
- Interfaces and coordinates all commercial and technical issues relating to the projects with the Engineering team, internal and external clients as required for providing successful projects
- Ensure all project activities meet standards imposed by safety legislation or by quality requirements
- Responsibility for screening and use of all relevant procedures related to Trade Compliance Policy
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’ Degree, preferred background Electrical or Process Automation Engineering
- Firm in commercial and contractual aspects of projects
- Knowledge: Excellent Project Management techniques and tools (project management certification like PMP would be plus), MS-Office Applications
- Work experience: several years post graduate experience in a engineering project environment (engineering of Control systems in Oil & Gas, Industry, Power Generation, Chemicals, Petrochemicals)
- Language skills: Fluent Arabic and English
- Interpersonal skills: Professional attitude, commercial and technical orientation, committed to excellence, teamwork, flexibility and self learning.
Core Competences
- The Project Manager has significant previous experience of working as a Project Manager in an Engineering environment (Process Automation preferred).
- He/she is proficient to work with modern Project Management techniques and tools and understands project commercials.
- He/she has the technical and personal skills to manage engineering projects successfully and has also the capability of leading and motivating people and teams.
- He has strong knowledge of some, preferably all, of the following elements:
- Ability to work effectively with customers and suppliers either internally or externally to the business, in ascertaining requirements, informing, advising, supporting and consulting, documenting all aspects required in the provision of the project and businesses deliverables.
