Job Description

  • You will provide a support service that ensures all IT equipment and infrastructure is running to its optimum performance.
  • You will also be running projects across the site, working closely with the business owners or colleagues to implement changes and/or additions to the site’s technology infrastructure to support changing business and IT requirements.
  • Manage the availability of all IT equipment and infrastructure through continuous improvement and continuously look to improve equipment efficiencies and cost reductions accordingly.
  • Perform random audits on technical infrastructure to ensure adherence to latest company IT and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Act as a point of contact for contractors or external suppliers and clearly communicate technical issues and company standards.
  • Undertake project management
  • Act as a single point of contact for projects.
  • To provide technical support/input to site and team projects and initiatives.
  • To keep key stakeholders informed of progress of projects and maintain project documentation.
  • To provide sanity check and technical execution of projects.
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Replace parts as required
  • Email administration including Outlook configurations (POP/Imap), Emails Archive and Backup, Cpanel administration.
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
  • Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
  • Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
  • Rapidly establish a good working relationship with colleagues and other professionals, such as software developers.
  • Test and evaluate new technology
  • Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Windows System Support experience.
  • MS Windows System Support experience.
  • A background in Networking – LAN / WAN and Wireless.
  • Holds a detailed understanding of core internet technologies – Routing and Switching, DNS, DHCP, mail transport, OSI Model.
  • Email Administration experience including Outlook, CPanel , etc.
  • Experience working in a technical role which requires solid technical aptitude, excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and in different situations.
  • Project management abilities and technical task execution experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven problem solving ability.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously in high pressure situations, successfully handle multiple competing priorities and possess a high level of discipline while displaying a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.
  • Ability to develop clear and concise documentation. · Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology.
  • MS Windows System Support, Cisco knowledge – LAN / WAN and Wireless.
  • Help Desk / Technical support management experience.
  • Linux/Unix System Support experience (Preferable)
  • Proven ability to learn and apply new technology.
