Job Description
- You will provide a support service that ensures all IT equipment and infrastructure is running to its optimum performance.
- You will also be running projects across the site, working closely with the business owners or colleagues to implement changes and/or additions to the site’s technology infrastructure to support changing business and IT requirements.
- Manage the availability of all IT equipment and infrastructure through continuous improvement and continuously look to improve equipment efficiencies and cost reductions accordingly.
- Perform random audits on technical infrastructure to ensure adherence to latest company IT and Health & Safety guidelines.
- Act as a point of contact for contractors or external suppliers and clearly communicate technical issues and company standards.
- Undertake project management
- Act as a single point of contact for projects.
- To provide technical support/input to site and team projects and initiatives.
- To keep key stakeholders informed of progress of projects and maintain project documentation.
- To provide sanity check and technical execution of projects.
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Replace parts as required
- Email administration including Outlook configurations (POP/Imap), Emails Archive and Backup, Cpanel administration.
- Support the roll-out of new applications
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
- Prioritize and manage many open cases at one time
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with colleagues and other professionals, such as software developers.
- Test and evaluate new technology
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
Job Requirements
- Windows System Support experience.
- MS Windows System Support experience.
- A background in Networking – LAN / WAN and Wireless.
- Holds a detailed understanding of core internet technologies – Routing and Switching, DNS, DHCP, mail transport, OSI Model.
- Email Administration experience including Outlook, CPanel , etc.
- Experience working in a technical role which requires solid technical aptitude, excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and in different situations.
- Project management abilities and technical task execution experience.
- Strong analytical skills with proven problem solving ability.
- Proven ability to operate autonomously in high pressure situations, successfully handle multiple competing priorities and possess a high level of discipline while displaying a high degree of flexibility and professionalism.
- Ability to develop clear and concise documentation. · Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technology.
- MS Windows System Support, Cisco knowledge – LAN / WAN and Wireless.
- Help Desk / Technical support management experience.
- Linux/Unix System Support experience (Preferable)
- Proven ability to learn and apply new technology.
