Job Description
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Weber Site manager & SG Egypt EHS Manager in the implementation of effective EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.
- Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety, and environmental issues.
- Coaching the newcomers through training them on the required topic e.g. safety induction, SMAT, PTW, and safety tour to highlight the risks in each area and the safety precautions which exist.
- Ensure safety inspectors are conducting awareness sessions and training for the whole shift staff.
- Develop the safety monitoring plan for the plant to ensure all processes work in a safe way.
- Organize and schedule safety inspector’s shifts and their responsibilities in the shifts.
- Regularly review and be familiar with all applicable legislation and applicable standards, to ensure compliance.
- Participate and assist the supervisors, team leaders, and area owners in the investigation of incidents and accidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Ensure all the corrective actions which come from accidents and incidents are followed up and completed.
- Preparing the required data, and documents and participating in whole the audit either internal or external party
- Provide support to the department on the implementation of Company-wide EHS initiatives e.g. ISO14001, ISO45001, etc , and upgrading the specs if any.
- Coordinate regular meetings with the area owners to discuss safety topics e.g. PTW performance, Unsafe conditions status, and safety violations.
- Participating in the daily meeting in logistics and float line meetings
- Participating in WCM program as a leader in the H&S pillar and leader for the Environment pillar, Member in PeD pillar and supporting in the reliability model area, also project member in 4 projects.
- Responsible for following up on the SMAT performance and training and reporting in the plant.
- Responsible for follow-up, coordinating, and implementing environmental and sustainability road maps and related projects to improve different environmental aspects’ performance.
Job Requirements
- Weber – Mortars Plant – 10th of Ramdan
- Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a technical and scientific background.
- From 3 to 5 years of experience
- EHS Qualification (NIOSH), OSHA is necessary, and NEBOSH is preferred.
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Good knowledge of IT skills and data analysis
- Good Command of the English Language
- Good Knowledge of safety laws & Safety legal codes
- Leadership Skill
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
- Ability to manage and control all types of Environmental, health, and safety issues.
- Ability to find and implement the internal and external best industrial and working practices to provide effective services.
