Job Description

Position Summary:

  • AMIDEAST seeks a Program Assistant for the Sawiris Linkage Program. The Program Assistant will be based in Assiut city. The Program Assistant reports to the Linkage Program Lead. The Program Assistant is responsible for the implementation of the day- to – day operations of the Linkage Program in Assuit. The Program Assistant will handle program logistics in Assiut and will work as a liaison between program management in Cairo and the program in Assiut. S/he should be a resident of Assiut governorate.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supporting program promotion and student recruitment activities in Assiut;
  • Responsible for responding to applicant inquiries during program application phase;
  • Responsible for handling program admission activities such as conducting placement tests, and scheduling and organizing interviews;
  • Liaise with the training center regarding class schedules;
  • Responsible for receiving and disseminating training materials to students and teachers;
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation activities as required;
  • Create and update student data including applications, test scores, reports, etc.;
  • Create and follow up on class WhatsApp groups;
  • Be available during all training activities to support teachers and students;
  • Collect, review and report training center’s rent invoices and teachers’ monthly payments;
  • Maintain attendance records for students;
  • Refer problems that appear or might appear to the Program Lead;
  • Prepare end of semester student attendance and performance statistics for grants/projects quarterly reporting;
  • Conduct class evaluation for teachers and training facilities;
  • Prepare program evaluation statistics for each class and submit to Program Lead;
  • Prepare student reports, certificates, attendance, etc.;
  • Travel to off-campus locations as needed; and
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor degree in any relevant discipline
  • 1-2 years of work experience in grant program administration
  • Assiut governorate resident

Technical skills

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Good command of English language speaking skills
  • Strong English and Arabic writing skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Team player
  • Values-based work ethics
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Customer-oriented
  • Detail-oriented
  • Time management skills

Preferred:

  • Project Management knowledge/experience with large international NGO
  • Organization and problem-solving skills
  • A minimum TOEIC score of 600 or equivalent
