Job Description

The Department

The Role

  • This role goes well beyond managing the company’s finances, you’ll be responsible for the path of growth for Bosta, form new relationships, drive measurable value, and establish core financial processes and reporting requirements. 

 

  • Given the high growth nature of Bosta’s business, the role will require a large degree of execution and setting up processes and leveraging best practices from your prior experiences.

 

You will

  • Manage all accounting including month-end and year-end closing ensuring the appropriate application of accounting standards and company policies, and timely review and posting of entries and reconciliations;
  • Structure the finance department across the group and hire qualified candidates for the needed positions;
  • Identify and institute processes for different activities such as collections, receivables, payables, costing, etc. to have more control and better monitoring on the finances of the group;
  • Build and maintain accounting dashboards and reports, month-end close recaps, etc. for ease and effectiveness of senior management review
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including the group’s external auditors and tax consultants;
  • Support management reporting efforts driving visibility to key areas of the business through participating in long term planning and strategy development for continuous improvement and growth
  • Build operational and capital budgets for the group and implement a procedure for periodical review for such budgets;
  • Analyze and implement ERP system enhancements that would automate and ease daily activities as well as increase the visibility into the company’s financial performance and health;

 

Job Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Entrepreneurial, commercial and highly analytical
  • An exceptionally strong and clear communicator
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and excels at solving unstructured problems
  • Experienced working with high-growth organizations, preferably technology companies
  • Robust ability to design, implement and monitor internal controls
  • Growth mindset; ability to seek out and implement internal or external best practices

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting; MBA or CPA is a plus
  • 10+ years experience in accounting and finance
  • 5+ years of management position
  • 2+ years’ experience with big 4 audit firms experience is a plus
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office and global ERP applications (Oracle Preferable)
  • In depth understanding of IFRS and Egyptian Accounting Standards
