Job Description
- Planning lessons on Art and Art history in accordance with students’ learning objectives.
- Teach knowledge and skills in art, including drawing, painting techniques
- Provide instruction by which students develop aesthetic concepts and appreciations and the
ability to make qualitative judgments about art - Knows and provides instruction on the fundamentals and different approaches to drawing media technique
- Preparing the classroom by gathering and setting up the equipment needed.
- Assigning and grading projects and examinations.
- Recording and reporting on students ‘ progress.
- Monitoring inventory and sourcing Art supplies.
- Recording and maintain accurate students’ attendance records.
- Supervise workgroups.
- Communicating with parents through scheduled meetings to discuss students’ performance.
- Follow school calendar and policies.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a teaching qualification, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of best practices for teaching and learning.
- Hold a teaching certification or PGSCE or a minimum of 3 years experience in an international school preferably British Schools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good command of English
- Capacity to supervise group work.
- Outstanding planning and problem-solving skills.
- Supportive, flexible disposition.
