Job Description

Commercial Executive is hired to manage vendor activities and maintain both new and existing vendor relationships. They identify suitable vendors, negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices & Promotional campaigns for products and services, and ensure that vendors fulfill their contractual obligations.

 

Commercial Executive Responsibilities:

  • Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.
  • Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, and negotiate to price communicate any product or service-related concerns.
  • Conduct research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality.
  • Continually monitor sales trends to determine which products are more popular than others.
  • Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured.
  • Conducting interviews with new vendors and informing approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations.
  • Establishing vendor standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors or Cancel contracts with vendors that are no longer needed.
  • Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them.
                                                                                                                                                                     
    Daily Duties:
  1. Find Vendors: Vendor managers research vendors to find the best products and prices available within a given market.
  2. Establish Standards: Vendor managers establish standards and guidelines for vendors, monitoring vendors to ensure these policies are being followed.
  3. Hire New Vendors: Vendor managers conduct interviews and meetings with new vendors.
  4. Negotiate Contracts: Vendor managers negotiate new and existing vendor contracts.
  5. Cultivate Relationships: Vendor managers cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors by communicating with them frequently to answer questions and check their satisfaction levels
  6. Monitor Sales Trends: Vendor managers monitor sales trends, noting which items are selling faster than others, and write reports displaying this data.

 

Job Requirements

Commercial Executive Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in dental, medicine,  Science, or veterinary 
  • Proven experience working as a Commercial Executive.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • The ability to travel for work.
  • The ability to multitask effectively.
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
