Debt Mediation Officer

Working on behalf of our clients (Mainly Blue-Chip International Brands) you will be required to contact their customers that have not paid for the goods and services they have received. You will be required to overcome any payment difficulties they may have through problem resolution, negotiation and determination. In some cases, you will also need to do some investigation work in order to identify and or locate the decision maker.

You will be dealing with commercial organisations from SME's through to large internationals, so a professional and ethical attitude is essential.

Job Duties:

• Review, assess and plan a collections strategy for each case assigned in order to achieve collections targets.
• Proactively contact the debtor by email and by telephone to agree a payment plan.
• Monitor to ensure that the debtor complies with any agreed payment plans and follow-up in the
• case of noncompliance to keep the payment plans on track.
• Engage with the client in case of dispute or missing documents to resolve barriers to payment.
• Escalate the case to management if progress is inadequate.
• Trace decision makers and their contact details where the information is missing or incorrect.
• Ensure that the collections portal is kept up to date with all case information.
