Job Description
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop a data warehouse roadmap, by assessing the existing data warehouse environment and suggesting improvements in design, process, and operations
- Provide documentation on the design, implementation, and ongoing operations of the data warehouse environment
- Enhance, design, develop, and implement additional data/system integrations
- Participates as necessary in the development of test cases, test scenarios, and test plans to support the data warehouse and data integration environments
- Implement a data dictionary, and Entity Relationship Diagram ERD
- Responsible for data modeling
- Optimize new and current database systems.
- Collaborate with Data stewards to Develop data quality policies and procedures
- Works closely with ETL Developers and BI architectures to ensure providing the accurate data in a form that helps BI analyst to build reports and dashboards.

Working and Skill Requirements
- Experience with database technologies:
- Relational technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Postgres)
- NoSQL databases (e.g. Key-Value, Document, Graph, Multimodel)
- Cloud DB’s (e.g. Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)
- Expert knowledge in SQL
- Experience data modeling
- Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling including constructing database normalization utilizing data modeling tools to record, update, reverse engineer and generate DDL creating logical and physical data models for current and proposed states good verbal and written skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrate experience with the design, implementation, tuning, and troubleshooting of data integration tools (ETL, ESB, MDM, etc.)
- Ability to take responsibility of projects & tasks and drive them to completion
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology is required
- 4 plus years of experience working as a Senior EDW Developer or data engineer
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working with data models and designing entity relationship diagrams (ERD)
- Experience working with Data Warehouses, Operational Data Stores and/or Data Marts
