Role Purpose
Sr. Technical Manager role is to support the Project Managers for all Technical activities related to the project in order to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- To be fully aware of the Roads project specifications, drawings, and contractual terms;
- Manage the project's technical risks and the corresponding mitigation plan
- Validate the Structural and related civil technical design choices with the Team.
- Ensure the Road and bridge design is meeting ASSHTO and NEOM Standards.
- Solve technical issues detected by different project team members
- Leads the technical interfaces with consultants and all technical validation processes with other stakeholders where appropriate
- Ensure that all drawings, documentation and records in use are reviewed, approved and controlled for adequacy;
- Review Design – BOQ and ensure that all consultant deliverables provide the best value for money.
- Mentor the team to adopt safe and sustainable design processes and identify improvements in the wider business.
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in Highway Design
- Experience in dealing with the Saudi specifications for road design and the AASHTO
- Familiar with engineering software and methods (process, design) to ease mentoring
- Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a Master's in Engineering (Desirable)
