Job Description
MITO Consult is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic MEP team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and developing mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and swimming pool systems for a wide range of projects across Egypt.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications in compliance with international standards and local codes.
- Develop HVAC load calculations, plumbing layouts, firefighting systems, and swimming pool mechanical designs.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (architectural, electrical, structural, etc.) to ensure fully integrated designs.
- Review shop drawings and material submittals to ensure compliance with design intent.
- Participate in value engineering exercises and propose innovative design solutions.
- Support project teams during the design and construction phases with technical guidance and clarifications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design codes, standards, and software tools relevant to mechanical design.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the design of HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and Swimming Pool systems.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; knowledge of additional design software is a plus.
- Familiar with relevant international and local design codes and standards.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
