Job Description
Develop and implement MEP quality control procedures, inspection plans, and checklists.
• Conduct inspections for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and low-current systems to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Supervise and guide MEP QC engineers and inspectors in their daily activities.
• Review and approve method statements, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and other QA/QC documentation.
• Verify and approve materials, equipment, and completed installations against project requirements.
• Record and maintain inspection reports, test results, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit quality control reports to project management and clients.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams on quality-related issues.
• Attend quality and progress meetings, presenting updates on MEP quality performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, project specifications, and local regulatory requirements.
• Lead audits and inspections by internal and external parties.
• Provide training and mentoring to QC staff on MEP systems and quality control processes.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are identified and implemented effectively.
• Review and approve method statements, ITPs, and material submittals for infrastructure MEP works (water supply, sewage, stormwater, firefighting, electrical networks, telecom, street lighting).
• Ensure compliance of works with international standards (NFPA, AWWA, BS, IEC, NEMA, etc.) and client specifications.
• Supervise and witness hydrostatic tests, pressure tests, continuity tests, insulation resistance tests for pipelines and cables.
