Job Description
Tasks:

- Uphold the confidentiality and privacy of all clients.
- It is inappropriate for the worker to be involved with any client in any sexual, personal, financial, political, business or unethical dealings.
- Ensure that children (under 18 years old) are protected and services provided are in child’s best interest.
- Ensure that all financial support provided to clients is done fairly and without discrimination and accordance with the program guidelines.
- Required to maintain up-to-date identification ie: UNHCR card or Passport (when appropriate) and Egyptian residence permit.
- Maintain full time residence in work location agreed during hiring unless move is agreed in advance with PSTIC.
Supervision of Health Team:
- Supervise and advise all Health Team members about services for all cases with health issues.
- In coordination with the Team Leader, supervise the quality and competency of the support provided by Team members for all of their cases.
- Facilitate weekly Team Meetings in cooperation with Team Leader.
- Supervise each assigned Health Advocate individually 2 hours twice a month.
- Be available to supervise emergencies, monitor difficult cases and facilitate Health Team to do their tasks in a responsible way.
- Supervise each assigned Health Advocate’s case files, logs and reports.
- Oversee the completion of monthly, quarterly and annual statistics and reporting.
- Immediately report any problems in the work, ethics or responsibility of PSTIC team members to the Director.
Emergency response:
- Be available to oversee emergencies 24 hours – 7 days a week.
- Availability for emergencies is by telephone and by direct response to patients through home / hospital / or health partner visits as needed.
- Ensure Health Advocates complete Incident Reports.
- Supervise the Health Advocates emergency response from the beginning of an emergency until its completion and after with needed follow-up. Advocate to Health partners / Health facilities / Health Advocates to ensure that emergency health service is provided to best meet the needs of all patients.
- Report all emergencies at their onset to the PSTIC Director by sms and work cooperatively with all parties involved.
Cooperation:
- Maintain positive working relations with all PSTIC partner organizations.
- Maintain positive working relations with all PSTIC staff.
- Advise other PSTIC workers about health issues.
PSTIC Training / Meetings:
- Attend PSTIC weekly training class / meeting.
- Facilitate training of others PSTIC teams about health issues as needed.
- Facilitate regular sessions to upgrade the knowledge about health issues for Health Advocates.
- Facilitate the training of all new Health Advocates.
Meetings:
- Attend weekly Supervisor’s meeting.
- Meet Director twice a month to review Health Initiative.
Reporting:
- Maintain all data required by PSTIC ON TIME and fully completed for its reporting system including a personal log and google doc of all cases, Master List, updates of all new referrals, up-to-date files on each case using the PSTIC forms and complete Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Reports fully and on time.
- Complete a monthly work plan outlining the scheduled dates for meetings, supervision and training.
- Complete a monthly supervision report for all Health Team.
- Supervise the accuracy of the monthly reports completed by the Health Team.
- Immediately report any problems in work, ethics or responsibility of PSTIC team members to Director.

The Psycho-Social Services and Training Institute in Cairo (PSTIC) is the Tdh program that offers a range of training courses and workshops and through its professional supervision oversees mental health and psychosocial support services provided to refugees and asylum seekers.
Job Requirements
- Medical school graduate with at least 2 years of experience in emergency medical response in Egypt.
- Egyptian national preferred.
- Required fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to work cooperatively with a multicultural multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication skills.
