Job Description
Summary
Nagwa is looking for a Markup Technologies Specialist to join us in our mission to educate the world. The successful candidate shall be responsible for writing and uploading texts to our Customer Development System (CDS) using XML and LaTeX, and comparing the original text with its final version to assure consistency.
Responsibilities
- Write texts to be published on Nagwa’s website such as questions, lesson plans and explainers using the markup languages XML and LaTeX.
- Compare the original text with its final version to ensure accuracy.
- Review the final format and style of the text to ensure it is published with the highest quality as per Nagwa’s inhouse style.
- Upload the final format on the CDS (Content Development System).
- Apply styles and use Nagwa commands in XML to make the content suitable for each different local.
- Ensure that the format and the layout of the final product match Nagwa’s standards.
- Apply the necessary modifications requested by the content writers for inflow questions.
- Apply any necessary updates or modifications for online questions.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Strong command of both written and spoken French
- Excellent command of Microsoft Word
- Experience with XML, LaTeX and Microsoft Excel is a plus
