Job Description
- Analyze credit worthiness of lessees based on assessment of quantitative, and qualitative factors to identify credit worthiness and risks.
- Analyzing and identifying potential risks that are affecting the Company.
- Assisting Head of Risk in preparing quarterly risk report on existing lease portfolio to be submitted to Senior management and Risk Committee.
- Assisting Head of Risk in departing training to the staff on risk assessment affecting their related activity and ensuring that individuals understand their accountability for those risks.
- Effective communication with the management with regards to identification of financial and non-financial risks.
- Identify, quantify, manage and report risks in accordance with the Company’s Compliance / governance framework and different policies.
- Independently review, assess, write credit opinion, and provide recommendations for key transaction risks, covering, inter alia, sponsor reputation in proposed leasing transactions.
- Drafts risk assessment reports for both new and existing transactions. Assign and evaluate risk ratings.
- Provide advice and recommendations to marketing teams on appropriate risk mitigation measures, deal structuring, and risk adjusted pricing, security and other commercial terms and financial covenants throughout the risk appraisal process.
- Review any new major contracts or internal business proposals.
Job Requirements
- Education:
- University degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Preference will be given to the candidate having a related certification as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Financial Analyst or Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
- Experience:
- At least 6 years of corporate or financial institution credit risk experience in a local or international bank preferably as a senior credit officer, or similar position in a major corporation, rating agency, equity fund or multilateral/bilateral development organization, in risk management 3 years of supervisory experience.
